COLLEGE.DEV ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

College.dev is a brand and platform operated by Wonksknow Technologies India Private Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of India, with its registered office at C 107, Vaishnavi Gardenia, BBMP no 2208, SM road, T. Dasarahalli , Bangalore - 560057 and corporate identification number U74999KA2017FTC105947 (“College.dev,” the “Organizer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out a list of acceptable and unacceptable conduct for our Services. This Acceptable Use Policy may change as College.dev grows and evolves, so please check back regularly for updates and changes.
Do:

comply with applicable portions of the Terms of Service, including the terms of this Acceptable Use Policy;

comply with all applicable laws and governmental regulations, including, but not limited to, all intellectual property, data, privacy, and export control laws, and regulations promulgated by any government agencies;

use commercially reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized access to or use of the Services;
-
keep passwords and all other login information confidential;
-
promptly notify us if you become aware of or reasonably suspect any illegal or unauthorized activity or a security breach involving your accounts, including any loss, theft, or unauthorized disclosure or use of a username, password, or account; and
-
comply in all respects with all applicable terms of the third party applications in connection with the Services.
Do not:

copy, rent, sell, lease, distribute, pledge, assign, or otherwise transfer, or encumber rights to the Service, or any part thereof, or use them for the benefit of any third party, or make them available to anyone;

unauthorized access to any of the Services, user accounts, or computer systems or networks, through hacking, cracking, intrusion to networks, password mining or any other means, or disrupt the integrity or performance of, the college.dev Service or the data contained therein;

directly or indirectly, or authorize any person or entity to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, re-engineer or otherwise create or attempt to create or permit, allow or assist others to create the source code of the Services; (b) create derivative works of the Services; (c) use the Services in whole or in part for any purpose except as expressly provided herein; or (d) disable or circumvent any access control or related device, process or procedure established with respect to the Services;

access the Service for the purpose of building a competitive product or service or copying its features or user interface;

directly or indirectly delete, alter, add to or fail to reproduce in and on the Service the name of college.dev and any copyright or other notices appearing in or on the college.dev Service or which may be required by Wonksknow at any time;

frame or mirror all or any part of the Services or Software, or incorporate all or any part of the Services or Software into any product or service, without Wonksknow LLC's express prior written consent;

remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notice of Wonksknow LLC in connection with the Services or Software;

interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service or the servers or networks used therefore, including taking any action that imposes, or may impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Service and its systems.

host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update or share
-
infringing or unlawful material;
-
information that identifies a person or that may be used to identify a person without such person's legally required permission;
-
viruses, worms, time bombs, Trojan horses and other harmful or malicious code, files, scripts, agents or programs;
-
any material that is harassing, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, pornographic or obscene, tortious, or that encourages or condones violence or terrorist activity;
-
is harmful to child;
-
infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary rights;
-
deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of the message or knowingly and intentionally communicates any misinformation or information which is patently false and untrue or misleading in nature [or, in respect of any business of the Central Government, is identified as fake or false or misleading by such fact check unit of the Central Government as the Ministry may, by notification published in the Official Gazette, specify;

impersonates another person;
-
threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order, or causes incitement to the commission of any cognisable offence, or prevents investigation of any offence, or is insulting other nation;
-
is in the nature of an online game that is not verified as a permissible online game;
-
is in the nature of advertisement or surrogate advertisement or promotion of an online game that is not a permissible online game, or of any online gaming intermediary offering such an online game; or
-
violates any law for the time being in force.
HACKATHONS, COMPETITIONS AND EVENT USE
When participating in or interacting with a College.dev Event, you must not:
-
copy, scrape, download, reproduce, train on or commercially use another participant’s submission except as expressly permitted by its owner, an applicable licence or normal functionality of the hosting service;
-
access, scan, probe, exploit, stress-test or attempt to discover vulnerabilities in College.dev, another participant’s application, a third-party service, account, device or network without prior written authorization;
-
submit malware, ransomware, spyware, credential-stealing software, phishing materials, destructive code or code intended to facilitate unauthorized access or harm;
-
expose passwords, API keys, authentication tokens, private repository credentials or confidential information;
-
collect, publish or process personal, biometric, location, image, voice or contact information without lawful authority and all required consent;
-
impersonate another person or present materially synthetic or altered media as authentic in a misleading manner;
-
harass, bully, threaten, groom, sexually communicate with, solicit personal contact information from, or attempt to arrange a private meeting with a minor;
-
conduct unsafe hardware tests, interfere with public infrastructure, trespass, handle hazardous waste or place people, animals or property at unreasonable risk;
-
violate the terms, licences or acceptable-use requirements of an API, dataset, AI service, open-source project or third-party platform; or
-
use another participant’s project, code or ideas in a manner prohibited by the Event Rules.
College.dev may remove content, restrict access, disqualify a participant, suspend an account, preserve relevant evidence or report conduct to appropriate authorities where reasonably necessary to protect participants, enforce these policies or comply with law.
REPORTING INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, PRIVACY AND SAFETY CONCERNS
To report alleged infringement, unauthorized copying, misuse of personal information, harassment, child-safety concerns or other Event misconduct, contact support@college.dev and include:

your name and contact information;
-
identification of the work, information or person affected;
-
the submission, account, message or URL involved;
-
a description of the concern and relevant supporting evidence; and
-
a statement that the report is made in good faith and that the information provided is accurate.
College.dev may temporarily restrict access to disputed material, preserve relevant records, request additional information, notify the affected participant, permit a response, remove content or disqualify a submission where reasonably appropriate.
Reports will be handled as confidentially as reasonably possible. College.dev cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality and may disclose information where reasonably necessary to investigate the concern, protect a person, provide procedural fairness or comply with law.

In the event you breach these Terms, we have the right to terminate your access or usage rights to the Services immediately, or remove non-compliant information or both, in our sole discretion. In addition to our rights in these Terms, we may take any legal action and implement any technical remedies to prevent the violation of this provision and to enforce these Terms.
